The animals we meet on our morning walks.
Our farming roots. Never forget.
Grandkids who are always rummaging through its contents.
Grandmas jewel box, pen nibs, books that account for every penny spent from 1938, an exam test sheet from 1954, …..
Utensils they used when they cooked during all weddings that took place at home, since the 50s.
We took baths here as kids. Now, its retired and we no longer use it. But this remains one of the most beautiful bathroom i have ever seen. I remmbr how we would once fit in here, both of us. Then, as we grew out, we had to take turns to sit in there.
Devinagar, is a small village near Bellary. My great-grand-pa settled here. We are an agricultural joint family. A part of the family stayed back in the village to continue being farmers. While the rest moved out to the city for education and other ventures. Our grandparents still take a lot of pride in trying to teach us the ways of life out there. And we love it out there. My brother and I, had/have great memories and adventures out here. No pictures or stories can justify the experience and life out here. This is where my aunts and uncles have been going back, after retirement. I wish i could too, one day. And have a house/room next to my brothers.
